Samuel Goodhope, a partner at the firm, is an experienced trial lawyer practicing primarily in the area of Personal Injury. With over 20+ years of experience, Sam has tried cases involving personal injuries resulting from car accidents, semi-truck and motorcycle collisions, and has tried cases involving defective construction, wrongful death and bad faith insurance cases. He is licensed in both South Dakota State and Federal Court and has represented clients before the South Dakota Supreme Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the South Dakota Trial Lawyers Association and was selected to sit on the Trial Lawyer Board of Governors. He has also been recognized by the American Trial Lawyers Association as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer.
Sam is a lifelong South Dakotan. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management in 1990 and his Juris Doctorate in 1993 from the University of South Dakota. While at law school, Sam was selected to be on the Moot Court board which competed against other law schools in mock appellate cases. Sam was also selected to compete on the Trial Advocacy Team and received the high grade in Trial Advocacy. Sam and his wife, Laura, have four children, Chloe, Anna, Sadie Mae & Charlotte.
